Eric Perna, a native of Brasilia, Brasil is catching the collective eye of the South Florida arts scene and many collectors. He was born within an artistic family, his father a copper sculptor and mother a hair stylist/designer. His earthy visions are influenced by traditional Brazilian culture, folklore and pop art. Eric works primarily with acrylics on canvas, and additionally considers natural materials within his creations.
Eric's work is being shown in several South Florida and Latin American galleries, including Salvatore Principe in the heart of Delray Beach, and Project Earth in Fort Lauderdale.
Eric volunteers at schools for troubled children, teaching art to teens as a path of creative self-expression.
Eric Perna Artwork Exclusive at Fome De Filme Brazilian Film Festival 2008
The works of visual artist, Eric Perna , a native of Brasilia, Brasil, were on display at the opening reception of the Fome De Film Brazilian Filme Festival 2008. Attendees had an opportunity to meet Eric at this special event held at the Sean Stein Pavilion Atrium) Barry Kaye College of Business Building at Florida Atlantic University on April 4th.
The Opening Reception included a special evening of art and music, beginning at 6:30 p.m with special remarks offered by the Consul General of Brazil and a performance by musical group Brazilian Voices, in addition to Eric Perna's artwork.

Conspirar Productions with Contempt Records presented InterPerna!
On Saturday, March 1, visual artist Eric Perna, a native of Brasilia, Brasil, offered a glimpse into his own world with "InterPerna", a passionate collection of visual art reflecting Eric's roots, influences and perspectives on canvas. It was a memorable event shared with those passionate about art and music. The event, held in West Palm Beach at the home of Contempt Records, offered art, wine, cheeses, plus some live music by local recording artist, Bryce.
